WOW, the surf is amazing.. I heard all about those spectators getting sucked in! So glad you where safe. If I was there with you, we would have been sucked out and probably died!!!!
Yeah, I'm sure we would have been all about getting the shot on the beach and would have been under the wave. I mean, all these people were in the place they were told to stand. But honestly, one of the reasons we did not go is because Craig said there is no place to stand there - it is either down on the tiny beach which could get hit by waves, or you are up on a cliff that is falling down from erosion. Either way, you are screwed. So I decided to watch the live webcast instead - much safer!! But honestly, I was just crying for all the people who lost their cameras, I mean there was some serious equipment there, including tv cameras that were completely wrecked. Owch!!
