2/8/10 Heliobore

The heliobore, also called the Lenten Rose, is always the first flower of the new year to bloom in my garden.

Well then, happy New Year! You know me I am a sucker for flower shots. It is beautiful. What lens did you use? I want a better Macro lens.

Thanks, I shot this with the 100 mm macro lens, which I really like, it is a 2.8 so very fast. I felt I have been neglecting this lens lately, so I am going to try to take more macros. Of course in the summer I use it tons for flowers, it is great!
