2/23/10 Flower

This is taken indoors with no flash, ISO 1250. I have been experimenting with higher ISO setting lately. If I am shooting handheld I up the ISO until I can get the shutter speed I want. So far I am very impressed with the quality of the images with this camera, and often see very little noise even at very high ISOs. I don't know if you regularly use the noise reduction in LR, but I am also very impressed with how well it works. If I see even a hint of noise I use the LR noise adjustments. The only thing on this flower that I think is off is the color, probably becuase of the high ISO, as the true color is a much deeper purple.

It still is probably too dark, so I probably could have gone even higher on the ISO.

So funny, I just started playing with the noise reduction in LR myself last week. I always change up my ISO. I really enjoy working with that. You DO have to worry about the color a bit, but I find it very interesting to set the ISO first..... good job!
